Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has adopted a baby boy. The South African star has called the boy Jackson, a publicist confirms.
The details of the adoption have been kept tightly under wraps, but the publicist did say that Charlize is a “proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson.”
Jackson isn’t Charlize’s only new friend – she recently revealed that she struck up a friendship with Twilight star Kristen Stewart on the set of their new film Snow White And The Huntsmen.
In January, she told E! News that they became mile-high friends after meeting on a flight: “We met on a plane going to Comic-Con…You know when you meet someone and it’s effortless? It was instantly amazing.”
“We couldn’t shut up. The plane landed and they were like ‘Get off the plane’ and we were going on and on.”
She says that although she plays the evil Queen Ravenna opposite Kristen’s good-girl Snow White, they have a similar work ethic: “I think we both love what we do and we came to play.”
In less eloquent terms, Charlize has previously said that she thinks Kristen’s great because she “doesn’t give a f***.”
