As if we couldn't love David Beckham enough already, he goes and admits he happily chose to wear tights when he was a kid! Not all of the time, sadly. Just for weddings. Still makes us squeal with cuteness!
The super-handsome footballer has admitted that his love for fashion and braveness for wearing different styles might have started when he was just a wee lad.
In an interview with Derek Blasberg for H&M magazine, David said,
"I suppose the very first thing I remember, when it comes to fashion, is when I was a pageboy at a family wedding. I had a choice between wearing some boring old suit, or a pair of knickerbockers with ballerina tights and slippers. I went with the tights."
Mini David wearing knickerbockers and tights? We actually might have had a palpitation. So would Derek, it seems who then said,
"I'd kill to see that picture."
So would we! If mumma Beckham has been thrifty, one day we might just get the chance...
"My mum’s probably got it somewhere. It’s not that I always wanted to be different, but I knew what I liked and that’s always what I wore."
But does the fashion and style god ever look back at some of his earlier looks (the sarong, perhaps) and LOL?
"Always. I look back on some stuff and I think, “I can’t believe I actually wore that”. But I have no regrets – I knew at the time it was good."
Um, we love you Dave but we don’t think velvet flares were ever good and even someone as handsome as you can’t pull off cheesy nightclub bouncer…
