Hollywood hard man Jason Statham has waded into the argument between Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian by dismissing the reality star as a ‘brand’.
In an interview with Details magazine, the Transporter actor was asked if he considered himself to be a brand. "F**k no. Why should I?" he said. "Kim Kardashian’s a brand."
A valuable commodity
His comments follow Mad Men actor Hamm’s description of Kim as a "f**king idiot". In an interview with American ELLE magazine, he said: "whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly".
Kim was quick to snap back, Tweeting that Hamm’s comments were "careless". The actor then retorted on The Today Show, telling host Matt Lauer: "I don’t think they were careless. I think they were accurate."’ Ouch...
Over the last six months, Kim and her family have also faced criticism from other Hollywood heavyweights, including Jonah Hill and even James Bond (cough, Daniel Craig), who said of the clan: "Look at the Kardashians, they are worth millions. Millions! … You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f**king idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?' I'm not judging it. Well, I am, obviously."
Well, if it’s any condolence Kim, we still love you.
