In the light of recent flour-related incidents involving her sister Kim, Khloe Kardashian has severed ties with animal rights group PETA, saying she is "disgusted by their behaviour."
On her blog Khloe says she found out the woman (as yet unidentified) who threw flour on Kim at the launch of her new perfume has ‘very close ties’ with PETA, despite the group initially denying it.
PETA has now came out in support of the flour-bomber, saying it will defend her if reality TV star Kim does decide to press charges.
After thanking her readers for the 'love and support' shown to Kim over the incident, Khloe wrote: 'I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise.
'Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior. I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me.'
The 27-year-old has been a vocal supporter of the group and featured in its infamous 'I’d rather go naked than wear fur' campaigns.
Khloe maintains she still supports the anti-fur cause but will no longer support PETA after the incident.
"I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA," she says. "Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise."
Khloe also says Kim handled what happened 'like a champ' and that she was 'a very proud sister'. "She got cleaned up and was back out there in a matter of minutes. Go Kimmie!"
