She’s used to doing battle with vampires, werewolves and all manner of scaries in the Twilight films, but as it turns out, Kristen Stewart is actually frightened of relatively friendly creatures.
The actress has admitted that the animals which really scares her - of all the grizzlies in the world - are horses. When talking about shooting Snow White And The Huntsman at comic convention Wondercon, she revealed: “I got to jump off cliffs and ride horses, and that terrifies me. I was really, really not happy about having to do all that [horseback riding] I don’t like that – I hate that.”
According to MTV.co.uk, the 21-year-old said that this hatred stems from a bad childhood experience: “I fell off a horse once and hurt myself really badly. I broke and dislocated my elbow when I was, like, 9.”
She’s a trouper, though – and managed the scenes by putting her worries to the back of her head: “I just had to not think about it. I wanted so badly to do this that it was just like, 'Alright, well, if I perish by horse, that’s all good’.”
Kristen added that she feels an affinity for the Snow White character: “My favourite thing about [Snow White] is that she’s endowed with so much and there’s so much inside her. It’s like she’s brimming."
She doesn’t always necessarily know why. I can – in so many different parts of my life – relate to that and love that about her. So it was cool to have that all behind kicking the s*** out of someone.”
From the sounds of what Kristen’s saying, the film’s set to be an action-packed, butt-kicking horse-fest. Like karate, but with horses. On cliffs. And with an evil witch played by Charlize Theron. And a huntsman.
