X Factor boy band One Direction are poised to take over the pop world, but it’s not all rosey in the 1D camp. Group heartthrob Harry Styles has been warned that he must act like more of a “team player”, as the other members of the group feel as though he’s becoming distant.
“Harry’s been given a dressing down in recent weeks,” says heat magazine’s One Direction insider. “It was noted that he’d broken away from the band a bit and, with their American tour in progress and dates in Australia to follow, the boys really need to be acting like a unit.”
Harry, 18, has hit the headlines in recent months for his relationship with older woman Caroline Flack, while he’s also been spotted hanging out with his new celebrity mates – like DJ Nick Grimshaw and TV presenter Alexa Chung - at BRITs parties and during London Fashion Week. Harry’s bandmates are said to be upset about this, “especially as they felt it separated Harry from the rest of them,” heat’s source reveals.
A team player
Harry has now been told in no uncertain terms that he must put on a united front with the other 1D boys Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne,
“The boys are set to become the biggest boyband in the world this year and it’s no time for individual egos,” heat’s source says. “This was made very clear to Harry. He was told he needs to start being a team player and that’s that.”
