Singer/actor Ricky Martin, who has been dating stockbroker Carlos Gonzalez Abella since 2008, has confessed that, although happy now, he wasn’t sure he wanted Carlos in his life when they first got together.
Speaking to Advocate magazine, he said, “It was just one of those things that just happened. I was like, ‘You’re not supposed to be here right now. Would you please allow me to just go on my journey?’
“I think he’s so sexy. He’s very smart. That’s such a turn on. He leaves the house every day in a suit and tie and that is so sexy. It’s two different worlds – his and mine. I know as much about his world as he knows about my world, which makes it really cool.”
Ricky admitted that running around three-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino helps to in keep him in shape, that and making love, he said, “I'm a father of two toddlers. And lifting them is a workout - this is biceps, this is triceps. I also try to make love. That helps.”
Speaking to Details magazine about his romantic side, he confessed to cancelling a show so that he could go on a date! He revealed, “I cancelled a show once to be with someone that I loved. I had one day. I thought, ‘You live in another country, I live in another country. This is incredible and I feel amazing.’ My manager came up with some excuse. It was the most expensive date I've ever been on. But hey that was a very beautiful day.”
