Boyzone star Ronan Keating has confirmed that he and wife of 14 years Yvonne Keating have decided to end their marriage.
The 35-year-old singer has used his official Twitter page to let fans and followers know that reports in the media about a split today are in fact true,
“Sadly our news is true. Thank u all for your support. Yvonne and I still love and care for each other and want to protect our kids. X,” Ronan said on the social networking site.
The couple have three children, Jack 13, Marie, 11, and six-year-old Ali.
It’s thought that strain of Ronan’s commitments to the Australian version of the X Factor contributed to the his marriage troubles with Yvonne. It’s also being speculated on that the couple couldn’t get over the affair Ronan had with a Boyzone backing dancer, and despite working on fixing their marriage for the past two-and-a-half years they just couldn’t make it work.
“Although Ronan and Yvonne couldn't patch things up, they are both determined to be there for their kids,” A source tells The Sun On Sunday
“They still love each other and wanted to tell their children and then their friends first, before everyone found out.”
This really is very sad news indeed.
