We’re still a little bit (ok, a lot) obsessed with all the details about Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z’s adorable baby girl Blue Ivy. She’s just sooo cute.
One person who does more than read about the most famous baby on the planet is of course Bey’s little sister Solange Knowles. The 25-year-old singer/model has gushed about her niece in a new interview, saying that the two-month old is “beautiful”, and that her bond with Blue Ivy is “magnetic”.
“[Being an aunt is] very different to being a mother, but there's still that sort of love that you can't even put [into] words to describe,” Solange tells fashion magazine Rollacoaster. “It's really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl too!”
“It's really important for every mother to find their own way”
While Solange is happy to coo over her gorgeous niece, there is one thing she’s not doing – offering unwanted advice. While Solange already knows what it’s like to bring up a baby – she’s a mum to her seven-year-old son Julez – she doesn’t force advice on her big sister,
“I think it's really important for every mother to find their own way,” she says. “I think it's actually the most annoying thing when you're a new mum and you're getting so much advice from other mothers. You really just have to feel it out for yourself.”
