We'd like to think this picture shows funnyman Will Ferrell is impersonating a really puny, unscary cat or playing at holding a bar to make the interviewer laugh.
In actual fact it's rare photographic evidence of the comedy genius behind Anchorman acting adulty and doing those quotation mark things with his fingers.
Looking at this reminds us that we only ever want to see Will Ferrell doing hilarious things and it's a bit disconcerting seeing him be serious and interviewy.
He was at the premiere of his new movie, Casa De Mi Padre in Hollywood. The title means My Father’s House and in it Will Ferrell plays a Mexican named Armando who gets involved in drug lordy-type trouble.
He also falls in love with his younger brother's fiancé. Uh oh. Not only that, there’s a mushroom trip and a wedding massacre, but funny.
Casa De Mi Padre is out in June but get a peek at the trailer below.
We confess this picture makes us a bit sad, not just because it shatters our illusions about Will being laugh-a-minute but because it reminds us of a Friends episode, and there are no more Friends episodes. (And no Friends movie either if Jennifer Aniston's thoughts are anything to go by).
In particular it's The One Where No One Proposes. Joey does the quotation marks and winds Ross right up by always getting the context wrong. Makes us lol and sob at the same time.
