Jessica Simpson has welcomed her first daughter Maxwell Drew into the world.
The baby, who is two weeks overdue, weighed in at a pretty hefty 9lb 13.
“Mother and baby are doing just fine,” a source told Us Weekly.
Jessica Simpson first broke the news of her pregnancy on Halloween last year.
Tweeting a picture of herself wearing a mummy costume, the singer said: “It's true! I am going to be a mummy!”
Since then Jessica and her husband Eric Johnson have been patiently counting down the days ‘til their little(ish) one turned up today.
“Eric and I love each other so much, and knowing that I love this baby inside of me is so amazing – I love it so much and I haven't even met them yet,”Jessica told Us Weekly. “I can't imagine how much love we'll have for it once it finally comes!”
The side effects of pregnancy
Jessica has been more than happy to let the whole world know what's been going on with her body during these last nine months.
"I just started calling myself Swamp Ass," she said, when telling Jay Leno what it's like to be pregnant and sweaty while wearing Spanx.
She also told Jimmy Kimmel, "I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting on my hoohah. Apparently I have a lot of amniotic fluid, so whenever my water breaks, it will be like a fire hydrant!"
It's no secret that Jessica had a pretty big baby bump all the way through her pregnancy, which even led people to believe she might be carrying twins or triplets!
But that never stopped her feeling extra frisky in the bedroom.
"I am definitely 'feeling intimate,'" Jessica told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show last month. "I'm kind of unstoppable right now. The Big O is, like, the biggest O ever!"
We hope baby Maxwell never ends up reading this...
