Elton John is hardly shy and retiring, but it seems that, when it comes to dance music, he feels his moves should be contained to his shower… oh to be a fly on the wall.
The 65 year old singer has confessed to the Metro newspaper that he loves a good dance tune, but is clueless when it comes to dancing to it. He said, “I will be doing Ibiza this summer. I’m doing a festival in July.
“I get up in the morning and I play dance music while I am in the shower, so it’s something I have always wanted to get into but if you don’t know what you are doing then you are going to look like an idiot.”
It appears that his new love of this genre of music has come from signing dance act Pnau (aka Empire of The Sun) to his label. He said, “I told them to take my old stuff and do what they want with it. It’s so boring re-releasing your old records to people who already have them. I want to get my songs to new people and its better to do this in a dance way.”
Speaking to The Evening Standard, Elton has also revealed that baby number two is being thought about by himself and his partner David Furnish. He admitted, “It's something we talk about all the time. But in terms of when, where and how, nothing's decided yet."
David added that they’d like to go back to the same egg donor “so biologically there would be a connection” to their son Zachary.
He added, “It's a big commitment to make, nine months of their life that doesn't just affect them but their children, their husband, their partner.”
