Madonna has spoken about the difficulties of juggling being both a hands-on mum and being one of the world’s most famous celebrities.
The Queen of Pop is particularly run off her feet at the moment because she’s promoting her new album MDNA and getting ready for her world tour, which starts this summer. But that doesn’t mean her children have to suffer.

She’s admitted she often says no to showbiz events so she can spend more time just being plain old mum to her four children Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy.
When asked how she prioritises the two sides to her life, Madonna told Daybreak and Lorraine: “It’s hard, I mean it’s always a juggling act. Right now I'm working quite a lot so sometimes, often – to the irritation of my manager – I say no to things.
“I should be out promoting my record a lot more but if I do that then I have no free time with my children so I have to make sacrifices.”
Will Lourdes follow in Madge’s footsteps?

Madonna has also spoken about the fact she doesn’t think eldest daughter Lourdes will follow in her footsteps and become a singer, despite providing backing vocals on Superstar – a track from Madonna’s new album.
“I don’t think she wants to follow, she doesn’t want to be me – I think she wants to be herself.
“And she can do many things, she can play the piano, she can dance, she can sing,” Madonna continued.
“But I don’t think she really knows what she wants to do and I'm not going to push her in any direction, I want her to come to that organically.”
So what does the Queen of Pop make of our future Queen?

When asked what she thought of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Madonna was more than complimentary.
"I think she’s quite charming and intelligent, nice, and a breath of fresh air."
Arr, that's nice, innit?
