Naming your pet pooch is one of the most important things you’ll ever have to do – you don’t want him or her getting picked on at the park, now do you?
So spare a thought for Paris Hilton’s dogs, Tinkerbell and Bambi.
Someone who’s chosen a big, manly name for his new dog is The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson. He’s named his pooch Driver after Ryan Gosling’s character in Drive.
“I'm obsessed with the movie Drive,” Josh told Us Weekly.
“I always thought it was a good name for a dog so it just kind of worked out.”
Driver: the dog with ‘special needs’
Josh, who plays Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games, recently adopted the 3-month-old Pit Bull puppy despite him having a few ‘special needs.’ Apparently, Driver is missing a few toes and had to undergo surgery to repair a broken femur.
So that’s good looks, amazing talent and a big heart Josh’s got. We think we just fell in love.
Josh wins a GLAAD award
Josh recently picked up the Vanguard Award at the GLAAD awards, (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamination) which commends efforts to increase understanding of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. Josh won the award for his work with the anti-bullying campaign Straight But Not Narrow, and at 19, he’s the youngest recipient to ever win the award.
Josh, who used to date Vanessa Hudgens, said that winning this award was his proudest moment.
“This is what my family is most proud of and the same for me.
“Acting is one thing, but actually trying to change the world and the way people think to make people's lives better? That's the stuff I'm most proud of.”
This guy just gets better and better.
