Lily Allen has still to properly confirm the name of her baby - she's called Ethel - she's been very private about parenthood. So we must admit we got a bit overexcited when she tweeted a link to a photo of her trying out her very swish new buggy: "The @silvercross got its 1'st outing today !" After we realised that she was @ messaging a buggy company and hadn't a) nicknamed Ethel 'silvercross' and b) given her a Twitter account, we thought we were about to get a sneak peek at the bub in the buggy.
But no, of course not. The singer-turned-designer only showed us a shot of her big posh buggy on the driveway of her home in the Cotswolds. And when we say big, we mean big. The stroller looks large enough for her to fit in to!
The photo is the first time we've got sight of the Smile singer since rumours emerged that she's due to make a return to making music. Though she officially retired in 2010 to start a family and work on her Lucy In Disguise fashion brand, she was spotted last week at north London studios RAK.
And it could be a rumour, but Lily, who admits she can "babble a bit" on her Twitter bio, is usually quick to deny any lies circulating about her. This time she's kept schtum.
Would you be excited to hear Lily's return to music? Is there space with her now that the charts are full of ladies - Florence, Gaga, Jessie J, Lana Del Rey? ALSO - if she does make a pop comeback, how the heck is she going to get that monster of a buggy onto a tourbus?
