heatworld’s teenage years were ruled by Dawson’s Creek. We loved it. In fact we considered Joey, Jen, Pacey and Dawson to be four of our best friends.
So, news that the cast are up for a reunion fills our heart with glee. We’re particularly excited that Michelle Williams is up for a return to Capeside (let’s face it, the Oscar nominated actress must have plenty of other acting offers to keep her busy)
However, Joshua Jackson doesn’t think a reunion could work and there’s one very good reason. It’s got nothing to do with money or spoiling the legacy of Dawson’s Creek – it’s because Michelle’s character Jen Lindley is DEAD!
“You can't do it because Michelle/Jen is dead, he told E! at the GLAAD Media Awards. “What's the show without all of the main characters?”
What about a Dallas-style dream sequence so that Jen could come back from the dead?
“I'm OK with that. We can start with Dawson in a shower. That would be funny,” Josh laughed.
Meanwhile, Michelle has her own solution to Jen’s unfortunate deadness – she’d play a ghost. The My Week With Marilyn actress joked, “In a heartbeat I would go back, I would have to come back as a ghost, though, because poor Jen Lindley died."
If a Friends reunion is never going to happen can the gods of TV comebacks at least make our Dawson’s dreams a reality! Everyone wants it to happen, it NEEDS to happen.
