Peaches Geldof and fiance Thomas Cohen have just become parents to a baby boy. The news came when the socialite and her SCUM rocker beau (SCUM is the name of his band, we're not passing judgment on his clear refusal to wash his hair) were congratulated on the happy news by her ex-boyfriend Fred MacPherson via Twitter: "Congratulations @tomfromscum and @peaches_g - all my thoughts are with the three of you today. <3"

We've yet to hear confirmation of the news from Peaches or Thomas, but it wouldn't be that bizarre for her to have given birth today - her due date is the 24th of April.

Earlier on in the pregnancy, she spoke about how the baby was expected on the same date as her late mother Paula Yates's birthday, revealing to Hello: "It was amazing for me when they told me that, very emotional and touching and just really beautiful. I was so happy."

The 23-year-old added: "I feel like it's a little wink from my mum; her way of sending a message to let me know that she's watching over me and my baby."

Bit of a shame, then, that the baby's arrived three days early, but there's no holding those things back! And we're sure she loves little Astala all the same. Oh yeah, Astala.

If everything has gone as expected, the baby is a boy, and he is called Astala Dylan Willow Cohen-Geldof. You might think it's weird, but Peaches' full name is Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof, so the bar has been set high for quirky names. She said that she found the name Astala "in a baby name book - quite an obscure one. We wanted something unusual but not ridiculous."

She added: "My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum's finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X"
