Her role in Battleship seems very blink-and-you'll-miss-it from the trailers, but Rihanna isn't that bad in the action film. Well, better than some popstars - need we remind you of Beyonce in Austin Powers, Mariah Carey in Glitter and Madonna in just about anything?
It's not terrible, then, that the We Found Love singer has decided to focus on her film career for a while before releasing yet another album. She told the Sydney Daily Telegraph: "There are some festivals here and there throughout the year but I want to do some more films before I go back on tour."
Although she's got her sights set on the silver screen, she hasn't decided her next movie yet, but wants to give comedy a go: "I don't want to stick to one thing yet. I want to see where I excel. i want to try things - comedy and probably another action film."
She recently revealed that she found filming Battleship difficult because she's got the hots for her co-star. No, not hot new beefcake on the block, Taylor Kitsch, but 59-year-old Liam Neeson. She told Company magazine: "I fell in love with him when I watched Taken and I was so star-struck, I couldn't even look at him on set."
We're sure there's plenty of older actors who'll be more than happy to co-star with Rihanna on any upcoming film, comedy, action or whatever!
Have you seen Battleship? What did you make of Rihanna's acting skills?
