Steps have left the building! Lee Latchford, Claire, ‘H’, Faye and Lisa wrapped up the Birmingham leg of their reunion concert at the LG Arena last night.
The nineties pop sensations stepped out into the sun and into the paparazzi spotlight -and also probably onto some coaches as they've got the next concert in their reunion tour tonight at the Manchester Arena.
Tickets to see Steps sing classics like 'One for Sorrow’ and our personal fave, ‘5,6,7,8’, sold out in minutes and six extra dates were added for the 2012 tour due to demand.
This is Steps first national tour in more than ten years and it came after a not-so-smooth televised reunion on Sky Living.
In the first episode of the first series Lisa Scott-Lee pulled no punches as she opened up about some of the tension in the band, noting some of H's star behaviour: "Problems first arose when H started flying in Britney Spears' private jet while the rest of us travelled by bus."
The Steps reunion took place in 2011 but not before denials by the certain members of the group, namely Claire Richards. In July on her Twitter page Claire said she would "never say never" but that a Steps reunion would be "silly". Twelve days later the official Steps reunion announcement was made.
The second Steps documentary "Steps: On the Road Again," is on Sky Living now.
