We are proud to announce that The Only Way Is Essex’s James ‘Arg’ Argent completed the London marathon yesterday in a very respectable 6hrs 1min.
After admitting that ‘six weeks ago, he couldn’t even run down his road,’ Arg has proved his ‘haters’ wrong and at the same time raised £3308 for Cancer Research.

Haters
In last night’s episode of TOWIE Arg's co-stars Mario Flacone, Ricky Rayment and Little Chris were seen putting bets on when Arg would throw in the towel.
He sure showed them!
“Received so much stick n lots believed i wouldnt do it but proved those Haters/Doubters wrong! Hope Grandad Seamus is proud! #CancerResearch,” Arg tweeted after the 26 mile race.
He also tweeted a picture of his well-deserved marathon medal: “6 weeks ago i was 18 stone and couldnt run down my road. Just completed London Marathon.”
Starting line
Arg took to the starting line, where 37,500 other runners were eagerly awaiting the starting gun. Arg made sure he could be seen a mile off by donning a yellow cardboard arrow on his head with ‘Arg’ painted on it.
He didn’t look at all nervous as he started his mammoth task, and was even laughing and joking with the other runners, before giving the cameras a double thumbs-up.
Cara and Billi
Arg was also joined by fellow TOWIE stars Cara Kilbey and Billi Mucklow. The girls had vajazzled their running vests to make sure they stood out amongst the thousands of runners.
Cara finished in 5hrs 47mins and Billi came in at 6hrs 2mins.
