Alex Reid wants to be a MP!?!

 

We’ve checked the date, and we can confirm that we haven’t gone back in time to 1 April – so Alex Reid must be serious when he says he wants to become an MP!

We had no idea that Reality TV star and cage fighter Alex had any political ambitions, but he thinks he can help the youth of Britain.

"It would be lovely to be an MP," he says. "I believe I can use my power as a celebrity to influence young people to help them be the people they want to be and to have a better Britain,” the expectant father tells The Sun.

“I’m someone who can get the points across that people want and can understand without jargon.”

Alex was speaking at Parliament yesterday at the launch of Labour’s Let’s Do Lunch healthy eating campaign, and he reckons that being an MP would be easy compared to cage fighting,

“When you’ve fought an athlete trying to rip your head off, standing up against someone just trying to verbally discredit you won’t be a problem.”

Simon Cowell says sorry for embarrassing book claims

 

Simon Cowell’s had a rare moment of humility. The TV mogul has publicly apologised to friends/co-workers/ex-girlfriends who were embarrassed by the all the claims made in the new unauthorised biography about him.

Simon attended a launch for the new tome called Sweet Revenge – The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell and said to the assembled guests,

“I wish to publicly apologise to anyone I embarrassed. Ten years ago if I had read someone would be writing a book about me saying I made loads of money and shagged loads of girls I would have said, ‘Great!’

“I spent the week hiding under a pillow and I couldn’t bear to look at The Sun. I knew it was bad because friends were sending me sweet messages saying, ‘Are you OK?’”

Well, you know what they say – there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Er, right?

Beyonce Knowles, the Most Beautful Woman 2012? She is according to People magazine.

The new mother has topped People’s annual countdown of the most beautiful celebs on the planet, coming ahead of Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and actress Charlize Theron.

Speaking about this latest accolade, Bey says, “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this Earth.”
