Publicly, the fallout from the leaked Tulisa Contostavlos sex tape has come to an end, but privately the singer and her family are still devastated.
Tulisa’s father has spoken out to explain the effect the leak has had on his daughter,
“What has [happened] really brought the family down and destroyed us in some ways. Tulisa is strong but itseriously dented her confidence. I tried to speak to her about it but she was so upset she couldn't talk. She was in bits,” Plato Contostavlos has told The Sunday Mirror.
However, the 23-year-old singer’s father is happy that here is another man in her life that she can trust – her X Factor boss Simon Cowell.
“Tulisa adores Simon Cowell. He has been extremely supportive to her and he has really stuck up for her over the sex-tape stuff,” says Plato. “I know Tulisa sees him as someone she can look up to and he thinks she is doing brilliantly on The X Factor.
“She is really up for doing the show again this year. She was exhausted after last year but she loves to give kids the experience she’s picked up from the music business. But she is very grateful to Simon for giving her the opportunity. At least he is one man she can rely on.”
