She might not be a fan of fame or hairy British comedians (ahem Russell Brand), but Katy Perry is a fond maker of music and she’s warned her fans that her new album is going to be “real ******* dark”.
The Part Of Me singer who split up from Russell Brand during the Christmas break, explained rather cryptically, “My music is about to get real f****** dark. You’d never see my face because my hair would be in it”
The star also hit back at claims that she dislikes being famous and finds it "disgusting" - inisting that the interview in question was taken out of content.
Katy had reportedly said, "Fame is just a disgusting by-product of what I do...It can love you, and then it can attack you. But really, I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago."
But on Twitter today she wrote, “O the joy of something verbally said being taking out of complete context in PRINT. This is why there's a continuous ♥/☹ for the media world,” she tweeted. “U see, the fame quote was spoken in jest (which is typical of me) BUT it's not really about that. The fact is: my success, & u my fans have afforded me the most incredible luxury: to grow as an artist & a human. THAT, I could not be more grateful for.”

It’s thought Katy’s new material will have a lot of heartfelt references to her troubled marriage and divorce from Russell. And with all this darkness she talks about, it sounds like Ms Perry's next record could be quite brilliant. Could we have another man-inspired musical case like Adele on our hands? Ooh, we hope so!
