When we heard that one of the most respected (and not to mention one of the most handsome) actors in showbiz was having a casual hang-out with the president of the United States, we thought we were learning about the plot from some upcoming film.
But that's just what happened this Friday, as Barack Obama and George Clooney entered into a friendly game of Basketball at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. The President and former Oceans 11 star George weren't alone in their game, they were joined by former Spiderman star Tobey Maguire and Barack's staff...this is the kind of news that almost makes us want to get involved in sports, almost.
The famous lot must've been celebrating, as the very generous Mr Clooney held a dinner at his swanky Los Angeles pad on Thursday to raise money for Obama and the Democratic party. We were wondering where our invite went until we realised George was charging $40,000 a ticket.
The night, which has been dubbed as Starmageddon, was attended by celebs such as Barbara Streisand, Robert Downey Jr, Tobey Maguire, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Salma Hayek and Jack Black. The Showbiz elite managed to raise a staggering $15 million.
We know what you really want to find out, who won that basketball game? Well, Obama says,
"Of course George and I won but we're all winners because nobody got hurt."

When asked about the star-studded celeb dinner, Obama went on to say,
"We raised a lot of money because everybody loves George. They're like me, they love him, and rightfully so."
Aww, we sense a new bromance coming on.
