Despite being one of the most beautiful women in the world and suiting just about every hairdo in the Vidal Sassoon style catalogue, Cameron Diaz was left feeling less than glam when her hairdresser made a big old mistake with her ‘do.
The There’s Something About Mary star debuted her short, sleek bob in January; but little did we know it wasn’t her haircut of choice.
“There was a little misunderstanding. I said I just wanted a little bit cut off and it went from here to here,” Cameron told Jay Leno when she appeared on his show last night.
Was it a happy accident? Not so much.
“It was one of those moments where I just couldn’t … I just burst into tears.
“I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair,” she continued, clutching at the little hair she had left. “Oh my God!”
NEVER rush and trim
Cameron explained that the accidental restyle happened when she went to see her hairdresser the night before she was heading off on holiday.
“It was the night before she was leaving to go away for Christmas with her family. It was 10 o'clock at night and we were running around just trying to get the in haircut,” she said.
So how did Cameron react to her new look?
“I yelled at her, I screamed at her. No, she felt really bad. I felt really bad. She started crying. I started crying.”
