Chris Evans welcomed a baby boy into the world this morning.
Chris and wife Natasha Shishmanian’s baby boy, Eli Alfred Michael Evans, was born at 4.52am this morning and weighed 7lb 13oz.
Radio DJ Chris was at the Hay Festival in Wales when Natasha went into Labour in their hometown of London. Chris made a mad dash home and got to Natasha in time to be with her when little Eli was born.
Chris broke the exciting news on Twitter earlier.
“Eli Alfred Michael Evans says hi ! Can't wait to join you all out there. A nice quiet first day in and then I'll be right with you. Xxx”

He also phoned into his radio show, which is being hosted by Alex Jones and David Walliams at the moment, to tell listeners about the moment Eli turned up.
“Once upon a time there was a silly radio DJ who went to wales when his wife was four days overdue with their second child, thinking that mummy and baby might hang on until he returned from the fantastic 500 words short story final in Hay,” he said.
“But of course he was completely wrong as usual and two hours after he arrived he had to beat a hasty retreat to get back to London in time which he did just about.”
Chris and Natasha already have a 2-year-old son Noah, and Chris has 25-year-old daughter Jade from a previous relationship with Alison Ward.
Chris took to Twitter again to thanks followers for their well-wishes.
“Thx so much for al the twitter Eli love. It's gonna be one hell of a wekend !! Pint ! After The One Show of course. Xxxx.”
Sounds like Chris and his family have got a great Jubilee weekend ahead…
