One Direction’s Harry Styles has admitted he’s keen to change his trademark curly ‘do. And he’s not just thinking about a little feathering or some highlights; he wants to lop the whole lot off. Eek!

"I want to shave my hair off, and no one will really let me,” Harry told his good pal Nick Grimshaw on Radio One.

“Everyone's telling me not to do it. And my argument is, like, I think my popularity is in my face, and not my hair.”

It’s the two together that we like so much, Harry.

Judging by Simon’s recent reaction to Harry’s bandmate Niall Horan wanting to dye his lovely blond locks black, he doesn’t stand a chance of being allowed to do it.

“[Niall] put in a text to him asking if he could change his hair colour,” a source told The Sun.

“Simon was straight back on to him with a short reply, ‘No way’.”

But it’s not just Simon’s permission Harry will need before hitting the salon – will his new squeeze Emily Atack let him do it?

Harry the cross-dresser

Harry’s not just keen to experiment with his hair – he’s also been trying out some women’s clothing lately.

"I was reading a magazine today, and I saw this big article in the back, and was talking about men wearing tights... because basically it just feels really comfortable, so I've been putting them on under my jeans.

"So I'm just wondering if you could get me some good ones. Like, some crotchless ones,” he asked Nick.

“Just because I've been stealing my sister's. The thing is, I'm not sure if I'm ready to bring them out. Maybe I should just keep them under my trousers for a bit. Do you think they do, like, gold ones?”

Luckily for everyone involved, it’s getting too hot for tights so hopefully Harry will just forget all about this unfortunate phase he’s going through…
