Joshua Pascoe, who plays plays creepy teenager Ben Mitchell in the hit BBC1 soap Eastenders, has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
The 16-year-old was questioned by police at Wimbledon station in south-west London on Thursday. A source told The Sun: "His mum is distraught. He's only 16, so his arrest is very upsetting for the whole family."
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said: "A 16-year-old boy was arrested on May 24 in connection with an allegation of sexual assault. He has been bailed to return to a North London police station on July 31." T
he BBC spokesperson made a small comment, too: "We are aware of the allegations."
This isn't the first controversy Joshua has been linked to - in March he was suspended from the Italia Conti Academy stage school in north London after unrelated accusations of bullying.
