Matthew Fox is probably most known for his nice-if-somewhat-wet character Jack Shephard in Lost, but he’s not as sweet as that if the tweets of his co-star in the series, Dominic Monghan, are to be believed.
Chatting with fans on Twitter, Dominic was asked by a fan to ‘Holla at Matthew Fox and tell him to get a twitter I beg of you’ to which Dominic responded with the rather odd: ‘He beats women. No thanks.’
This would probably have been taken as a joke if Dominic had stopped there but he didn’t backtrack.
When the fan responded with: ‘I know it was wrong but what?! What about all those good times you had together?!’, the Lord of the Rings star said: ‘How do you know we ever did? You don’t know either of us. He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often. Not interested.’

And when a fan expressed concern that Dominic was spreading rumours about 45-year-old Fox by telling him: 'Spreading an accusation that EVEN eww-TMZ didn't make... How classy. Hope Matthew Fox sues you for defamation,' Dominic replied: 'An accusation is when you "claim" someone did something wrong. i know. but hey little fan girl maybe want to get slapped around by him? Daddy issues? Blinded by the nice haircut? It's never okay. Maybe you have lower standards'
It’s another blow to the reputation of Party of Five and Lost star Fox, who was sued for physical assault in 2011 when an Ohio bus driver accused him of hitting her in various places after she denied the apparently drunk actor entry on a chartered party bus, although no charges were filed.
Of the allegations, TMZ reported a source told them that Fox said he’d “never beaten a woman in his life” – and then joked “because they usually go down in one punch”.
Fox, who was also recently charged with drinking under the influence (a DUI), has yet to comment on his co-star's accusations, and he isn’t on Twitter himself.
