Sharon Stone is being sued by her ex-nanny after the A-List actress allegedly told her not to speak in front of her children so they would "not talk like you."
Sharon's ex-live in nanny says the 54-year-old Basic Instinct (and let's not forget Basic Instinct 2) star made fun of her Filipino accent and banned the Bible from her house.
Erlinda Elemen, who worked for Sharon for six years, filed a nine page long civil complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this week and is suing the star for harassment and unfair dismissal. Sharon fired Erlinda in February 2011.
Nanny Erlinda started working for the award-winning actress on a part time basis in 2006 before being promoted to ‘head nanny’ in 2008.
The complaint alledges Sharon Stone made derogatory comments that made out being Filipino meant being stupid and the Erlinda is asking for an unspecified amount for 'unpaid wages, damages and penalties', says The Los Angeles Times.
Sharon Stone won a Best Actress Golden Globe for her role as Ginger alongside Robert De Niro in Casino. But the role that made her a star and included a scene in which she flashed her, er, anatomy to Michael Douglas was killer Catherine Tramell in erotic thriller Basic Instinct.
Other claims by her ex-nanny include Sharon repeatedly criticising her nanny’s "deeply held religious beliefs," her frequent attendance at church and once forbade her from reading the Bible in Stone’s house even though she lived at her home.
Sharon Stone’s publicist Paul Bloch has called ex-nanny Erlinda a "disgruntled former employee".
