After we revealed Katie Price is going bald because of her hair extensions, it looks like the beauty products look to have claimed another victim –Amy Childs.
Sensible Amy though, has taken action and has announced she will not be wearing extensions for six months because they were damaging her lovely locks.
When she sported a shorter style at the Caudwell Children Diamond Butterfly Ball on Thursday, we asked her whether she was attempting a new look.
But the 21-year-old admitted the choice – akin to giving up a child for an Essex girl – wasn’t to do with style after all.
The former TOWIE star said: “I took the extensions out, but it was quite short, so I’ve pinned it under tonight so it’s a bit like a bob. It’s a bit different. Obviously I like my big hair and body, but tonight I’ve done this.
“I can’t have no extensions anymore, because of the damage to my hair. Not for a little while, about six months. I can wear little hair pieces, things like that.”
So would Amy ever go totally natural in public? Shuuuut uuuuup.
“I went to the BAFTAs the other night and I had no make-up on, just a little bit,” she said.
“I feel really glam when I’ve got my eyelashes on and I love being glam, but when I am natural, I like being natural I’m not gonna lie to you, but I do feel really glam when I’ve got loads of make-up on, got my lips on, my big eyeshadow, because it’s me.
“I don’t feel I need to do it, but I feel glam when I do it, it’s what you feel comfortable with.”
