Stacey Solomon's just given birth to her second son, and is said to be "doing well". Her representative Max Clifford announced the happy news on Twitter last night, saying: "Congratulations to our lovely client @5taceysolomon who gave birth to a baby boy earlier today, both baby and mum are doing well."
This isn't her first child - she has a four-year-old son, Zachary, from a previous relationship. But it is her first child with fiance Aaron Barnham, who she got engaged to in December after dating for three years. The X Factor alumnus got engaged to Aaron on a trip to New York one month after she announced her pregnancy. He proposed to her on the holiday during a romantic horse-and-carriage ride through Central Park. Awww!
Bad times
But during her pregnancy things took an ugly turn. A whole furore stirred up when paparazzi shots of the singer smoking emerged. She was criticised by mothers' groups and health officials across the country. She went on This Morning to apologise to the nation for her "selfish" behaviour.
When she was asked by serial mum Holly Willoughby if she'd considered how harmful smoking could be for her unborn baby, she said: "At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right. All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up."
"I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it's uncomprehendable."
Regardless of what she did, the important thing now, though, is that she's happy and healthy and so is her son. Congratulations, Stacey and Aaron!
