Charlize Theron a world famous beauty and a talented actor but she has revealed she wasn’t always blessed with good looks.
Charlize told The Sun: “My early childhood was quite devastating. I had no teeth until I was 11. I had these fangs because I had jaundice when I was a kid and I was put on so many antibiotics that my teeth rotted. They had to cut them out.
“So I never had milk teeth. That was tough, you know, being in school having photos taken while I was pretending I had teeth. It was hideous.”
Well it all worked out fine in the end, right?
Charlize doesn’t have a problem with playing unglamorous roles, “You know, girls don’t wake up with lip gloss on. And I don’t ever think about it as ugly versus pretty.
“There’s a lot of movie people out there that I can’t relate to. Sometimes when I go to the movies I watch those people and I don’t know them, I didn’t grow up with them, they’re not my friends, they’re not me.”
If like us you’re still dealing with the shock of Britain’s Got Talent being over (check the website later we’ll have some exciting news for you) then you will already be getting excited about America’s Got Talent.
Our favourite act so far is Alonzo Jones aka “Turf”. He is a self-described 'extreme hip-hop contortionist dancer'. Turf’s performance is unique, entertaining and it gained him hard earned standing ovation from the audience.
View the clip if you want to be amazed. We’ve watched it a dozen time and now we’re not sure he’s actually a human.
Jessie J’s company didn’t make any money last year, instead it made a loss of nearly £20,000. Ouch. Jessie’s had a few chart topping hits like Price Tag and Do It Like A Dude and yet she still managed to lose money, that just seems wrong.
A source at The Sun explained what was going on with her finances: “Jessie’s first-year figures aren’t great but quite often royalties from sales and radio play take a while to come through.
“Until last summer, she had played mostly relatively small gigs and been hampered by a leg injury.
“But these days Jessie has deals with drink firm Vitamin Water and MasterCard, plus her fees from this year’s No1 single Domino and her work on The Voice have delivered serious boosts to her bank balance.”
We hope Jessie sorts her money issues out soon, maybe Tom Jones could lend her a tenner until pay day? We need her to be able to concentrate on making music. We’ve included the video for Price Tag below, because it seems strangely relevant.
