When a couple gets married they can expect gifts to include a toaster (or two), maybe a pretty vase, and perhaps some gift vouchers.
To celebrate his recent marriage to Hilaria Thomas, Alec Baldwin was given a bull by animal rights group PETA.
We’re not talking about a stuffed toy or even a statue for their garden. PETA gave Alec and Hilaria and an actual real live bull! Luckily they won’t be expected to care for it.
The 30 Rock star has been a long-time advocate for PETA, so they decided to free a 22-year-old bull in honour of the newly weds. The bull – who was called Raja and has now been renamed Baldwin Thomas – worked all his life pulling a cart for an Indian sugarcane farmer.

Baldwin Thomas, “will now spend the rest of his days in peace, relaxing at Animal Rahat’s sanctuary in Maharashtra,” a PETA spokesperson told WENN.
“Alec is a strong person you don't mess with, and he's a vegetarian, as is Baldwin Thomas. The couple who have everything now have a rescued bull whose newly-found happiness reflects their own.”
Awww, How cute us that? It brings a little tear to our eye.
Definitely one for the random or what file.
