It's never that nice hearing people being negative about what you do, but one person who believes that receiving ‘hate’ for his work is a good thing is singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran.
The flame-haired lovely took to Twitter this weekend to say that he must be doing something right if people are reacting to his work.
“Theres alot of people everywhere who dont like me, but alot of people who do. im thankful for both.”
“I'm thankful for the love as much as i am about the hate, it shows i'm doing something right,” Ed tweeted before adding: “At least people have an opinion.”
The Lego House singer’s got a point, you know…
He went on to quote lyrics from 50 Cent’s In Da Club.
“’If they hate then let them hate and watch the money pile up' is a 50 quote i live by.”
US Number One
We’re sure Ed’s not too fussed about what the haters think, seeing as his debut album + went straight to the Number One spot on the US iTunes chart last week. And he was clearly over the moon and ready to celebrate - some people choose Champagne, but our boy Ed just wants Mexican snacks.
“Oh my word!! My album is -#1 on USA iTunes!,!,!! so happy right now,”Ed tweeted. “And Canada!,!,!, Getting emotional right now, gonna eat some nachos.”
