Jedward have left us feeling really really weird inside. A bit shaken. A tad distressed. Quite a lot confused. It's not a new song, no. No, they've momentarily held back on treating our ears to their singing, and have instead treated our eyes by posting a half-naked photo of themselves on Twitter. They did it to celebrate reaching 650,000 followers, which is very grateful indeed.
But the photo’s left us a bit bemused about a few things. Firstly, how can those boys, the yappy pair from 2009’s X Factor, be so smouldering and sexy? Secondly, what on earth will they treat the internet to when they get up to a million followers? Thirdly, why isn’t everyone following, just to see what they will do next?
The hyperactive twins have also released a new music video, Miss America. It’s there to celebrate their number one with Victory (which was released last year?!) and their release of new album Young Love. Which apparently features “Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Jennifer Aniston and Beyoncé”. Even though it doesn’t.
And the video looks cheap enough to have been filmed on a calculator. We can’t really fault them, though. It’s all a bit of fun, and if we’re honest, we’ve just scrolled back up to look at that photo again and everything’s suddenly right with the world (apart from us feeling just a bit pervy).
In other Jedward news, they’re just as excited as we are to watch Katy Perry’s new film, Part Of Me. An excited Edward messaged the singer earlier today saying: “Hey Katy its John and Edward we cannot wait to see part of me in Dublin its gonna be amazing John is Part of Me he is my Twin”
