Reality TV star Jodie Marsh has made a startling revelation. The glamour girl-turned-bodybuilder has admitted that she felt so low after her disastrous stint on Celebrity Big Brother that she contemplated taking her own life.
“About six months after Celebrity Big Brother I decided I was going to kill myself. The quickest way to do it was to drive my truck into a post, so I started working out which one to use and how fast I’d need to be going,” Jodie tells The Sun.
“I was sick of everyone being so horrible to me. All I could think about was that I needed to drive myself into one of these poles. But I didn’t do it. I got to the pub sobbing. I was having a meltdown.”
“Best years of my life”

Jodie says she did not seek professional help because after speaking to psychologists when she was bullied as a teenager she’d lost faith in mental health workers. Instead, Jodie has changed her life thanks to bodybuilding.
“I can honestly say these are the best years of my life. I can’t even describe how good it is just to finally feel like I am doing something positive.”
Continues Jodie, “I’ve always wanted to do something good but people would never take me seriously. Now they are.”
Strong

Jodie – who has now forged a successful bodybuilding career for her self – says that the sport has also had an effect on her wellbeing, and she now feels mentally stronger,
“I feel so fit and healthy and ripped and strong. It’s so good to put the bad times behind me. Feeling physically strong makes you mentally stronger as well. I feel totally in control right now,” she adds.
“I have never had so much support — and it feels so good. Even more so because of how bad things got for me. I can’t express how grateful I am for my life right now.”
Good on you, Jodie!
