As if the thought of Robert Pattinson and Adele hanging out at a party together wasn’t brilliant enough, Rob has revealed that when he did meet the chart-topping singer recently he ended up arguing with her.
Just imagine the scene... Rob and Adele on the corner of a party, shouting over each other, wagging their fingers, and getting a bit lairy. Actual lol!
Rob admitted that he made massive faux pas in front of the Someone Like You singer by telling her to aim big with her career (erm, Rob, we’re pretty sure she’s already made it – so to speak),
“I had this argument with Adele, which is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever said,” the embarrassed Twilight star has said on CBC’s Tonight. “I was saying, ‘you know, you can really just like reach for it,’ and she was like, ‘You do realise I am like the biggest-selling female artist ever?’ And I just for some reason just decided to get into an argument with her.
“Yeah, and then waking up and kind of really, really regretting every word I said.”
Oh dear. We actually feel a little bit embarrassed for poor Rob. We wonder if Adele will write a song about it?
What happened to that guy?
Rob – who is due to star in new movie Cosmopolis – also admitted that the Twilight movies haven’t made him worry about being typecast, rather he worries that people will forget who he is all together,
“The amount of times you get asked, ‘Oh, are you worried about being typecast?' I’m just worried about people saying, like, ‘What happened to that guy?’
“And also, you think, you want to do something at least a little bit worthwhile with what kind of power you’ve been given, through luck. And not just keep trying to extend the same thing for as long as possible.”
