As if we needed any more reasons to swoon over Ryan Gosling - his good deeds are flying past us like chubby six-year-old arms at an oversubscribed piñata party - and this latest one might be the sweetest of them all.
The ahhh-worthy actor has been spotted in the crowd at his mum’s graduation, with smitten girlfriend Eva Mendes in tow.
Ryan Gosling's mum Donna got her teacher's degree from Brock University in St. Catherine's, Ontario yesterday and the 31-year-old Oscar-nominated actor turned up in the crowd of lesser mortals to show his support.
An official from Brock University told TheSpec they only knew Ryan was coming 30 minutes before he arrived.

“We found out about half an hour beforehand,” said Kevin Cavanagh, associate director of communications and public affairs at Brock University. “Although I’m sure our security were tipped off that something was going on when the paparazzi showed up. It’s not every day you see them on Brock’s campus.”
Ryan was captured by a keen Instagrammer who uploaded a picture of the Drive actor and girlfriend Eva, who sat next to her beau, positively beaming.
Unfortunately for everyone with a heart, and eyes, and loins, the 38-year-old actress says she and Ryan are still very much ‘on’.
Ryan and Eva met on the set of the movie The Place Beyond The Pines, the story of a motorbike stunt rider who considers committing a crime in order to provide for his wife and child.
Eva opened up to USA Today after dodging questions from Ellen DeGeneres in May, saying: “I'm feeling a little insecure because I can't help but be super conscious of what I'm saying because I'm so protective. That’s the most precious thing to me. And I'm so protective and I just felt my guard go up.”
We’d be protective too. If we had Ryan in our clutches we’d be so protective we'd be creepier than Sméagol from Lord of the Rings guarding that ring. And that’s saying something.
