Back in the ‘90s we remember politely cueing for hours (and hours and hours…) outside TV studios and arenas hoping to catch a glimpse of Take That.
Teenage fans these days are much more determined/sneaky/forceful when it comes to meeting their idols, as One Direction and Justin Bieber are only too well aware.
One cunning 1D fan hid in a bin for FOUR hours in a bid to meet the boys, but their efforts were thwarted by the band’s security – who’ve been kept on their toes a lot recently,

“They got busted,” Zayn Malik told The Mirror about their bin-bothering fan. “They hid in a bin and tried to come in the back entrance.”
“The methods fans are using are getting more ingenious. Some have been regularly booking out rooms in their hotel - some even tried to dress up as staff,” a 1D insider reveals, “But the boys' minders won't be letting any of these tricks get past them. They'll look in every bin if they have to.”
We’re not sure this fan really thought their plan through. Imagine meeting One Direction while reeking of rubbish… hardly ideal.
Bieber fans go barmy!

It’s not just One Direction who are causing trouble. 300 Justin Bieber fans stormed past security barriers at the ITV studios in London yesterday where the Canadian heartthrob was filming at Alan Carr’s Summer Specstacular,
"It was genuinely scary. They’re only teenage girls but they were hysterical and had just one thought on their minds - to see Justin Bieber. It was pandemonium.”
Sadly for the Bieb’s devoted fans their rampage got them nowhere – quick thinking ITV bosses managed to close off doors at the main building, cutting off fans from Justin.
Nice try though.
