BBC bosses want Gary Barlow for The Voice
The BBC is planning a shake up of The Voice, and they’re hoping that changes to the show will include adding Gary Barlow as a judge!
“Gary’s proven to be a ratings banker for the BBC,” reveals a Beeb source to The Mirror. “We would love to do more TV with him and he has completely free range with us in terms of projects and is not ordered around by someone like Simon Cowell.
“His label Universal works with The Voice and they see him as someone who could turn the show around. He might be doing The X Factor now, but we’ll be talking to him and a dream option would be to have him signed by the end of the year.”
Ah, yes, the small problem of The X Factor. There are suggestions that Gary’s involvement in the show won’t last for ever, as Simon Cowell is said to think that the Take That star isn’t the right fit for The X Factor,
“Simon is not a big fan. He has told some friends he thinks this will be Gary’s last year on the X Factor panel. If that is the case Gary would be free to work where he wants in 2013.”
Do you think Gary should to a reverse Alesha Dixon and jump ship for the BBC?

New health fears for Rihanna as she cancels UK work commitments
Rihanna has cancelled work commitments just days before she was due to fly into London and begin work on a new show for Sky Living, it has been revealed.
The hard partying 24-year-old singer was due to fly into the country yesterday ahead of a 10 week stay in the capital, but pulled out of her plans, with her management citing “sickness” as the reason for her no-show.
“She cancelled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her,” a course tells The Sun.
“She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments.”
Rihanna seems to party as hard as she works, we hope she gets some rest and comes back soon.

The BBC tells Noel Gallagher name your price for Strictly Come Dancing
Is there something funny in the water over at BBC HQ? First, there’s the news that the channel wants to poach Gary Barlow for The Voice (which would be a great move for them), but they’re also said to be desperate to sign up Noel Gallagher to take part on Strictly Come Dancing!
Bonkers, but also genius!
The Beeb are said to have made a name your price offer to the High Flying Birds frontman, but unfortunately it looks like we won’t be seeing Noel shimmying in Spandex (damn and blast!),
“I’m flattered. I’d have done it an’ all as I’ve recently mastered the sticky task of c***** while dancing. Sadly though, I’m a bit busy. Maybe next time... ” he told The Sun.
A source from the BBC adds, “Strictly always set their targets extremely high. The show gets huge viewing figures and the bookers behind the show are very much of the opinion ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get’.
“They knew from the off it was ambitious but they thought it might be something that tickled him.”
We applaud Strictly’s maverickness - it would have been awesome if Noel had agreed!
