Joey Essex was attacked and mugged by two men in Hammersmith yesterday.
The muggers pretended to be fans of Joey’s and asked to have a photo taken with the TOWIE star. They then threw him to the ground, stole his £10,000 gold Rolex watch and pulled out a knife when Joey tried to fight them off.
“I got a knock on my car window asking if I was Joey Essex and if I would have my picture taken,” Joey said.
“We did the picture and when I put some money in the parking ticket machine, the geezers got hold of me and threw me over.
“It wasn’t until I got up that I realised they had nicked my watch and when I hit one of them back, he got out a knife.”
Joey thinks the muggers could have been following him for a while, as they could have clocked his distinctive Smart Car, which features in the ITV2 show.
A police spokesman said: “Officers from the Robbery Squad at Hammersmith and Fulham are investigating the incident.”
We just can’t imagine who would want to be mean to lovely Joey.
Beautiful and kind, eh?
Jennifer Lawrence rushed to help a woman who fainted outside her apartment recently.
The Hunger Games star was taking her dog out when a woman collapsed outside her Santa Monica home. Jennifer and an unknown male ran over to look after the woman before calling an ambulance.
Jennifer stayed with her until paramedics arrived. After getting the all clear, the woman was allowed to leave with a friend.
“Jennifer ran outside her apartment when she heard a girl scream and immediately called 911,” a photographer told X17 Online. “When the EMT arrived, she stayed to make sure everything was OK. She was really scared for the girl.”
What a great gal.
Carly Rae Jepsen is thrilled to be going on tour with her good pal Justin Bieber. The Call Me Maybe star will join Justin on his Believe tour later this year.
“It's not that I didn't have my dream show built in my head before all of this - it's just that I never had the resources together to actually put it to life," she told Billboard.
“I feel very giddy with the idea of making my imagination take form and being able to put on a show where people leave feeling like they've experienced something.”
The tour kicks off in September, starting in Glendale, Arizona.
Save us a seat, yeah?
