Just the other day he was telling us how much he loves acting out a good sex scene in a film (hold that thought for a minute… we’ll come back to that) but it seems Robert Pattinson is one Brit’ celebrity who didn’t quite have the Jubilee spirit this weekend – instead he’s been talking about how he thinks the British film industry is “not very good”. Cor blimey guv’nor etc…
The Twilight actor made the slip during an interview in which he was asked about using his own accent in films. And he couldn’t have had worse timing - what with the whole nation celebrating all things British this weekend and all!
In answer to the question Rob blurted out, “I feel very naked with my British accent. I feel like I’m not really acting. And also, English things aren’t very good.”
Eh? Eh? ‘Course they are love – just check out the concert Gary Barlow put on for the world yesterday. That was pretty good!
We have a feeling Rob’s words were not meant as harshly as they sounded and we reckon he’s probably kicked himself a few times since. So in future, we suggest he should probably just stick to discussing things like how much he doesn’t mind getting his kit off and how he’s perfectly comfortable with a classic sex scene.
Rob recently told Elle magazine, “I don't really have a problem with those scenes or nudity in general. I think it's more complicated for actresses who are worried about how those scenes can be exploited by the media and how naked photos are constantly getting posted on the internet.”
See, that’s much better right? Keep talking about that Rob...
