Move over Miley Cyrus… there’s a new controversial tween star in town and it’s Willow Smith.
The 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith has already caused little ripples of controversy by shaving her head and dressing a bit oddly, but yesterday there was a full-on outrage after she posted a snap of herself with what looked like a tongue stud.
Willow can be seen with a ball stud visible, while a friend showed off a chin stud. Needless to say there was a liiiiiiitle bit (read a lot) of an outcry as fans expressed their concerns that at the tender age of 11 Willow is far too young for body piercings.
Where are her parents the entire Internet seemed to scream all at once! Will and Jada seem cool, but are they that cool? They would have had to give permission for Willow to get the piercing. Don’t worry, they didn’t
The stud is in fact a fake – phew! Willow confirmed that her tongue decoration wasn’t real after adding, “It’s a fake… Sorry,” to the caption on Instagram.
