We love strawberries, champagne and hot sweaty sportsmen so when the lovely people at Evian invited us to hang out with them for the day at Wimbledon we were there faster than one of Andy Roddick’s speedy aces.
And not only did we get to watch Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova kick butt on court, we also got to chill out with some very lovely (and slightly sozzled!) celebs in Evian’s swanky ‘Live Young’ VIP suite.

Grace Jones: I would never mime
First things first, we chatted to the incomparable Grace Jones about her amazing hula-hoop skills and she told us she couldn’t believe all the fuss following her jaw-dropping performance at the Queen’s Jubilee concert.
She said: “It’s not hard for me. I’m fit. Obviously.”
But after proving to the nation that she can sing a whole song AND keep a big hoop spinning around her middle, we wondered what she made of certain pop stars who often mime their big performance numbers.
The legend said: “It doesn’t interest me. I would never mime.
“I don’t give a damn about what other artists get up to and I don’t give a damn about what other artists think about me.
“I just do what I want to do. I was going to a gig years ago and there was a hula hoop by the side of the stage and I just thought – ‘why not’.
“It’s not hard for me because I’ve been doing it since I was a little girl. I was always out there in my street, spinning it round and round.”
Leggy Grace then showed off another of her sporting skills later when she took on Avengers actor Tom Hiddleston at a ferociously competitive game of table-tennis. (Spoiler alert: Tom eventually won and Grace was not happy!)
Eddie Redmayne is terrified of Grace Jones
My Week With Marilyn actor Eddie Redmayne admitted to us that he was “terrified” of the 64-year-old singer.
He told us: “Did you see her in A View To Kill [James Bond flick where she plays villain May Day]? She was so scary! I keep imaging her in that film. I’m too afraid to go and speak to her and tell her how amazing she was at the Jubilee.”
Eddie also dished the dirt about his upcoming film Les Miserables.
He said: “It was an amazing experience. My last day of filming was last week and I spent the entire day being cradled in Hugh Jackman’s incredibly muscular arms as he carried me through a sewer.
“It was bizarre. I was being held like a baby by Wolverine!”
Jamie Laing wants you to work for him
Also hobnobbing in the bar was Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing who excitedly told us that he wants heat and heatworld readers to apply for jobs in his new sweet shop Candy Kittens.
He told us: “I will be interviewing very soon so girls – get applying!
“They’ll work in the store dressed as 60s air-hostesses. It will be a great job, details are on the Candy Kittens website.
“I’m looking for three things in my Candy Kittens…they have to be cute – not look too over the top; just be lovely girl-next-door type cuties.
“They have to be cheeky – they need to be able to banter with customers and be confident and funny. If a girl makes me laugh in her audition then she’ll get the job.
“And thirdly, they have to be single! I’m only kidding…well, not really actually. I’d definitely date an employee so I’d rather hire girls that are available for an office romance!”
And on the subject of romance, he admitted he had a crush on a certain Made In Chelsea co-star….
Jamie reveals his crush on Binky
He said: “I do fancy Binky. Who told you that? I’ve been caught out. She’s so funny, I love a girl with a good sense of humour. And she’s so beautiful. But I hear she has a new boyfriend – so we’ll have to get rid of him before I can make my move!”
But the highlight of our day was definitely sitting next to the delectable Tom Hiddleston for the Centre Court tennis action and having an in-depth discussion about Maria Sharapova’s…peculiar…grunting.
He laughed: “Surely that’s a noise that should be kept, how do you put, for private time.”
Saucy stuff.
