We’re still completely obsessed with the Queen’s LOL-tastic part in the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony.
It has to be one of – if not the – funniest moments on TV, ever.
Now the show is over Danny Boyle – the genius behind the brilliantly bonkers show – has spoken about working with the Queen, praising her talents as an actress.
The Slum Dog Millionaire director has told NBC that he had several meeting with HRH before filming her segment of the show, and that she was, “very helpful and very sharp.”
You don’t have to tell her twice
Boyle then continued to explain that the Queen was quick to pick up his instructions, revealing that she is a talented actress,
“You don’t have to tell her something twice. She picks it up straight away, about cameras and angles.
“And she was very gracious in giving us access really, and that’s what we wanted, that feeling to be throughout the whole ceremony.
“She is a good actor, she is good at it,” he said.
Danny – we quite agree, we thought the Queen was amazing!
The Queen and James Bond
As for Daniel Craig’s part in the performance, Danny has revealed that secret agent 007 and the Queen got on just fine during the shoot, and even the Queen beloved Corgi’s loved getting in on the action,
“Her and Daniel [Craig] got on very well, her and James Bond got on very well so that was all tickety-boo, and the corgis were fine as well.”
Wow – can you imagine how crazy/amazing it would have been to be actually been present for the filming? Wow.
Something exceptional
The millions and millions of viewers loved seeing the Queen unleash her inner comedian, and so did HRH herself. A spokesperson has revealed that she was “very happy” to take part in the £27million opening ceremony, and she was,
“Delighted to be asked to be involved in something so exceptional,” according to a spokesperson.
*Chortle* We’re still giggling to ourself about the whole thing…
