We’ve heard of some funny old celebrity requests in the past, but this one really takes the biscuit.
Britney Spears has got a dentist’s chair that she likes to have with her at all times, including downtime on The X Factor USA.
But no, it’s not for when she fancies a quick root canal procedure, she actually just likes to recline in it when she’s having her make-up done.
While her fellow judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and LA Reid are forced to sit in fold-out director’s chairs – uncomfortable or what? – Britney lays back in her fancy-pants chair.
“She's got a portable dental chair and she loves it. It reclines so she can relax while they make her up,” a source told The Sun.
“We joke with her about it all the time. It's a running joke amongst her whole team.
“We make sure it's in every city she goes for the auditions - and it always travels by private jet.”
Britney’s shy… really?
Despite this rather bizarre, attention-grabbing behaviour, Britney’s boss Simon claims she’s actually very shy.
"She's not on the show to be Britney Spears on a TV show.
“She's actually there to prove to the world there's more to her, and she's got the ability to do this job really well. She's taken the role really seriously,” Simon told People magazine.
“It's quite interesting because when someone has done what she's done as she has with her career, and being such a public person, you kind of think she is going to be very confident, but in real life she's shy. There's kind of a mystique about her which I think is what kind of attracted me to her in the place.”
