The Queen is a big fan of Dizzee Rascal according to Prime Minister David Cameron.
Don’t worry we didn’t believe it at first either.
During a speech at London's Royal Academy of Arts, the PM paused mid-speech to address Kate Middleton right in front of a big audience.
Despite being the one who told us, Dave seems pretty taken aback
"My favourite part of the [Olympics] opening ceremony was when your husband leant over and said to me 'I don't know if you know, Prime Minister, but my grandmother is a great fan of Dizzee Rascal’”
The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly laughed at his comments and nodded her head in agreement.
Lizzy, you dark horse you.
Dizzee on his way to take the Queen for a night out in East London
Not so strait-laced
She might be our Head of State but she’s evidently down with the kids. Maybe she had to hold back all her inhibitions during the rapper’s performance of Bonkers at the Olympics opening ceremony on Friday – fighting that urge to get up and dance along.
Maybe she has her own special playlist.
One’s a rascal? Crown on, look sharp? The upbeat and toe-tapping Phillipole?
She’s not so different from us
After this shock revelation, we had a quick search into HRH and found out that she doesn’t just sit in her palace all day counting her corgies and making queen-like decisions about, whatever queens think about.
She loves Coronation Street and hates to miss an episode. We hope Harry’s shown her how to watch it back online.
Not one to be posh, she keeps her cereal in Tupperware containers and it’s not even gold plated.
And apparently she evens helps to wash the dishes after BBQs – Marigolds on of course.
Our queen has style.
