Chloë Sevigny just can't get the staff - the actress has expressed her shock at being sent two dresses for the premier of her new show, despite requesting twenty.
For the British premier of Hit & Miss - in which Chloë, 37, plays a pre-operative transsexual hit man - the star asked various designers to send dresses for her to consider wearing. It’s fair to say she wasn’t impressed with the turn out:
“How hard is it to get a fucking dress from Valentino?” she asked Out magazine. “Aren’t I one of the top searches on Style.com, for crying out loud?”
When the interviewer told her she was going to be quoted direct, the star ‘clasped her hands together 'and laughed.
As muse to the designers behind Proenza Schoeler, face of Miu Miu and a constant on the arm of various cool-as-ice celebs, Chloe has built a reputation as a bit of a fashion icon.
Whether it was the nature of the show that freaked the designer labels out – a transsexual assassin drama is probably as far from fashion-friendly Mad Men as you can get – we can’t be sure.
The only thing we do know is that, hearing this, no matter how good an actress she is, joking or nay Chloë is also very good at coming across a teensy bit up herself.
