Losing your voice is something us civilians don’t have to really worry about, a couple of Hall’s Soothers and we’re right as rain – but for superstar Florence Welch (and her Machine), things are a little different.
After a vocal injury last week, the 25-year-old singer has spoken up about how frightened she was.
She told Us Weekly: "I actually felt something go pop or snap, or whatever. Whatever it is, it was very frightening. I had to really adjust because it happened in the middle of a show."

After the snap the Florence + the Machine star had to cancel two performances. One at Benicassim Festival in Spain and the other at the Optimus Festival in Portugal.
We remember Adele, now seven months pregnant, saying a similar thing when she lost her voice last year and had to cancel her UK tour and have surgery. The 23-year-old Rolling in the Deep star also described the sensation: "It felt like something popped in my throat," she told 60 Minutes.
Luckily Florence is recovering, fingers crossed she’ll be crooning again in no time – she told Us: "I had a full check up and he said that there wasn't any permanent damage that couldn't be restored without rest. So if I keep taking care of myself there won't be any reoccurrences."
Good luck Flo!
